My Clear Skin Journey
As mentioned in the famous Clear Skin Smoothie post, I struggled with hormonal acne in my twenties. - 1 bunch kale
- 6 celery stalks
- 2 lemon
- 1 2-inch knob of ginger
- 2 cucumber
- 1 granny smith apple cut in half
- Clean and dry the produce. Run the produce through the juicer, starting with the kale, then the ginger, celery, lemon, and cucumber in no particular order. Add the apple last to push out any remnants of the other ingredients.
- Enjoy immediately or transfer to air-tight glass bottles, mason jars, or a pitcher to be refrigerated and consumed within 72 hours. Do not freeze.
- Cook to a minimum temperature of 165 °F (74 °C)
- Do not use the same utensils on cooked food, that previously touched raw meat
- Wash hands after touching raw meat
- Don't leave food sitting out at room temperature for extended periods
- Never leave cooking food unattended
- Use oils with high smoking point to avoid harmful compounds
- Always have good ventilation when using a gas stove
