As soon as November and December roll around, we love to get in the holiday spirit. One of our favorite Christmas traditions is to fire up the stove and make this holiday simmer pot. All you need to do is fill the pot with fruits and spices, sit back, and embrace the aroma!

Ingredients
- Orange - The sliced orange has a citrusy and refreshing scent that cleans the air.
- Cranberries - Cranberries have a uniquely bright and tart fragrance.
- Cinnamon sticks - Cinnamon sticks provide a warm atmosphere.
- Fresh rosemary sprigs - Rosemary adds a slightly piney aroma.

Substitutions and Variations
- Fall Simmer Pot - Add some apple and ginger for fall scents. Apple adds the sweet smell of cooking apples and ginger adds a peppery warmth.
- Nutmeg - Nutmeg gives off a sweet aroma.
- Cloves - Cloves have strong and lightly spicy scent.
- Gift - Give the ingredients of a winter stovetop potpourri as a gift during the holidays! Include a whole orange or dehydrated orange slices and place the ingredients in a compostable gift bag adorned with a festive ribbon and gift tag with instructions.
Stovetop Potpurri Instructions
Combine ingredients - Add all of the ingredients to a pot with enough water to fill the pot ¾ full. Then Bring the water to a boil then reduce the water to a simmer with the lid off. Refill with water as necessary.

- Be sure to simmer on low heat so the ingredients don't burn.
- Use high quality ingredients for the best aroma.
- Clean the air after you cook a big meal. We especially love to make this pot after we cook fish or seafood.
