    Top tips

    Recipe FAQs

Does homemade whipped cream taste better?

Yes, homemade whipped cream is richer, fresher, and creamier. Making your whipped cream at home also allows you to customize it to your liking.

    What makes heavy cream whip?

When the cream is whisked, the fat molecules join together forming air pockets and creating whipped cream.

Does homemade whipped cream stay fluffy?

Yes, it should be fluffy for 24 hours, but is best fresh.

Why did my homemade whipped cream turn to liquid?

If whipped cream is over-mixed or sits out at room temperature too long, it can turn liquid. Always be careful to not over-mix whipped cream and be sure to keep it refrigerated.

Can you overwhip homemade whipped cream?

Yes, only whip the cream until it reaches stiff peaks or it will ruin the consistency.

Can I make whipped cream with milk or another cream instead of heavy cream?

No, milk and other creams do not have enough fat content to form stable peaks.
