Shirred Eggs (Baked Eggs)
are creamy, yolky baked eggs nestled in a cozy bed of golden shallots, fragrant herbs, and melted parmigiano-reggiano.
Make herb mixture (optional)
- Warm butter in pan.
Saute shallots then stir in rosemary and thyme.
Melt butter in each ramekin.
Add heavy cream then eggs.
Add herb mixture then bake for about 9 minutes.
Remove eggs from oven then top with cheese and bake for 2 more min.
Top with sliced chives and enjoy with baguette.
