Teriyaki Chicken Bowl

Step 1

Make Japanese rice on stovetop or in rice cooker.

Step 2

While rice cooks, mix soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar, and ginger to make teriyaki sauce.

Step 3

Tenderize chicken then season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 4

Cook chicken over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, until skin turns golden.

Step 5

Turn chicken thighs over, add 1 tbsp of water to pan, cover with lid & cook for 8-10 min.

Step 6

Reduce heat to low then cook chicken in teriyaki sauce for 2 min.

Step 7

Slice chicken into strips then place over rice in bowls.

Step 8

Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions then enjoy!
