Pre-Preparation

Preheat the oven 350°F and place the oven rack in the middle tier.

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl or mixer.

Step 2

Add eggs, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest and beat for 1 minute.

Step 3

In separate mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 4

Add flour mixture to wet ingredients, then fold in blackberries.

Step 5

Bake bread in the oven for 45-50 minutes then let cool for 10 minutes.

Step 6

Make the glaze - whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest.

Step 7

Glaze the bread then enjoy.
